Meet Beau, Founder of Kifedo

I’m Beau, the pitmaster and storyteller behind Kifedo. I’m glad you’re here—this is where the scent of hickory smoke, slow-cooked traditions, and the true art of American meat-centric cooking come to life.

Why Meat?

For me, meat is more than just a meal; it’s a heritage. My grandfather’s ranch in the heart of Texas wasn’t just a workplace; it was a sanctuary where neighbors and pitmasters gathered to swap secrets over brisket samples and hardwood coals.

My Story:

I grew up under the wide, open skies of Texas, where Sunday cookouts and overnight smoke-sessions were the heartbeat of our community. As a kid, I’d sit on a weathered wooden crate in my granddad’s smokehouse, watching with fascination as he transformed tough, rustic cuts into tender masterpieces.

Grandpa wasn’t just a rancher; he was a maestro of the flame. His hands, rough from years of seasoning briskets and trimming ribs, taught me that every cut tells a story of the land. By the age of 12, I could fire up a pit, balance a dry rub, and grill steaks that had the whole county talking. Our family gatherings revolved around his legendary pulled pork and the golden rule: “Good food isn’t rushed—it’s respected into being.”

The Kifedo Philosophy

At Kifedo, we believe meat is the ultimate love language. Those early lessons on the ranch shaped the recipes you’ll find here:

  • Respect the Source: From the pasture to your plate, quality ingredients are the foundation of every great meal.

  • Keep it Bold, Keep it Simple: You don’t need a lab full of ingredients—a handful of the right spices and the right heat can create magic.

  • The Power of the Table: A perfectly seared ribeye or a 12-hour smoked brisket has the power to turn strangers into family.

After years of perfecting my craft in traditional Texas BBQ pits and working alongside seasoned butchers, I realized my true calling: bridging that old-world grit with modern, approachable recipes for the everyday cook. Kifedo is my way of honoring that legacy and helping you create savory moments that linger long after the last bite.
